Ahh the weekend! Sometimes it's pretty nice to be able to sleep in and break up the routine a little bit. It's been a pretty eventful week; the 100 (or so) kids on the balcony on Monday, a couple of volunteers leaving, parents coming and going... There was also a little newborn who was brought in, a premie born earlier in the day, whose aunt and a friend brought to the main house. Unfortunately the baby died at some point enroute, and there wasn't anything the nurses could do. I wonder how 'normal' that is here. Pretty hard to imagine living somewhere where going to a hospital isn't an option.
We've been having lots of problems with generators and vehicles recently as well. One of the backup generators broke down at the main house yesterday evening, so I had to hurriedly move out of my room here at the Toddler house so that one of the intensive care babies and her nurse could move in there temporarily. Good thing we still had power! I guess you never know what's going to happen next around here!
